As the second largest economy in Africa, South Africa suffers frequent nationwide power outages with daily power-off up to 12 hours and an excess of demand over supply in the electricity market, due to its power supply dominated by a single entity and the influence of such factors as long-term disrepair of main coal-fired units. In response to this severe situation, Solargiga Energy leveraged its more than 20 years of rich industry practice and technical experience to provide local customers with efficient new energy solutions, helping accelerate the energy transition in the local market and enable end customers to achieve high returns and easy maintenance of power stations with efficient and long-life modules.

In response to the national "Belt and Road" initiative, Solargiga Energy has taken the lead in laying out the South African market. Located at the southernmost tip of the African continent, South Africa has abundant solar resources, with most regions having an average annual sunshine duration of over 2,500 hours. The Government of South Africa plans to achieve a PV installed capacity of more than 8GW by 2030. The South African PV market has great potential.
